Tai Chi Reflection

Today we had our normal Tai Chi lesson with Mr Gordon our teacher,
We did our every week usual moves such as tiger form, crane form, monkey washes face, open channel, full body, drawing from the earth this is only some of the positions and forms we did today, we also had our normal negative, positive and random act of kindness.

Our power word for this week was courage, he gave us an example and things like that and he told us that to him courage means being brave have the braveness to ask or do something, the example he gave us was when he was 7 years old there was an old lady that lived right beside his school and students and kids would jump over her fence and steal fruit, she had so many different fruit trees and vines she had a grape vine, pear tree, apple tree, peaches, nectarines, tangalo, big and small plums and students always jumped over her fence to steal them. One of his friends told him to go steal an apple for him and because he couldn't get over the fence and he simply said no lets go around to her door and ask her, they walked over and he knocked on her door and she opened it giving asking him what do you want angeryly and he asked her if he could have just one apple and she gave him a huge smile. He was the first kid to ask her for a piece of fruit.

She kindly let him and his friend in and she gave him to big bags worth of apple and for the next 10 years he would go visit her and she would give him different fruits and veggies and he was so thankful for that every year on christmas they gave her presents and parcels, sadly she died when he was 17 but till this day he is still thankful.

Something I enjoyed today was listening to his life stories because he has so many amazing stories from so many different places and I just really enjoy listening to his different life stories and things like that, something I found challenging about this weeks Tai Chi is the crane pose because he was going a bit fast but other then that I had an amazing time at Tai Chi.

Have you ever done Tai Chi? If you have did you like it?
