Technology Reflection

Mince Pasta -

Ingredients -

Macaroni Pasta

Mince 

Onion 

Cheese 

Tomato puree 

Spices 

Equipment -

Colander 

Frying Pan

Spoon

Pot 

Mesasuring Cup 

Instructions -

Boil pasta in a pot with cold water until soft.

Drain under a Colander.

Fry onion until its soft and then add in your mince, when its done add in your tomato puree, cheese and spices.

Something I learned today was how to cook a very flavoursome Mince pasta, the reason why I liked cooking this today was because it was quite easy and fun do with my buddy/partner.
Something that I found challenging was breaking up the mince because it was quite hard to break but other then that it was really fun and easy. 

When the cheese has melted add your pasta and wait for a little bubble then take it off the plate and eat.

Technology Reflection

Ingredients -

2 cups of SRF (Self raising flour)

1 cup of sugar 

1/2 cup of oil 

1 egg

1/4 of coca 

Inscrutions -

Combine all ingredients together into one bowl, do not mix it slowly and gently fold the mixture until there is no visible flour or cocoa. After you finish folding your mixture get a big spoon and scoop the mixture making sure that it is at least half of the spoon with your batter/mixture.

Technology Lesson

These instructions are what we need to be showing all the time and inside of the class while cooking. TOday we were going to be making quiche and the ingredients we would need were - 

1. Two slips of pastry
2. Ham
3.  eggs
4. Oven 
5. Knife
6. Muffin Tray
7. Whisk
8. Cheese 

The first thing you want to do is preheat your oven to 250 degrees, after you preheat your oven you want to crack your  4 eggs into your bowl and whisk them after you have whisked them add ham and cheese until you have well combined. Put your mixture to the side and start to cut your pastry into the size of your muffin tins. Place the pastry into the tin and start to scoop out the hard parts of your mixture (ham, cheese) into the cups of pastry, after  you fill the pastry with the ham and cheese pour the egg into a cup and slowly fill the pastry up with egg. If you have any pastry left you can either put it on the top or double it up before you add your mixture.  

Technology Reflection

Yesterday Morning we went to our weekly Technology, in this Technology we really had to catch up because we didn't go to Technology for the other weeks because they were busy with mid year exams and whole school day off and things like that.

The group that I am in for Technology is wood works or hard materials whatever one you prefer and the thing we are actually making is pewter necklaces. Pewter is a type or metal/steel that you can wear, and the pewter silhouette I have chosen was a Turtle and the reason why I first actually chose this was because it was for my best friend but she actually ended up leaving before I actually got to finish it.

The part that I am up to now is smoothing it and cutting out any of the parts that need to be cut so things like the area where it needs to be poured and things like that. I am also up to the part where I am shining it and polishing it up so it's got a smooth and shiny finish.

Technology Reflection

Today we had Technology and we are finishing off our workbook that our teacher has shared with us, so far I think technologys really fun because we are going to be starting our projects and everything and I can't wait to start everything.

I really liked technology because I am nearly to the point where I can start creating everything and taking my project home, I am still not there just yet but I am nearly there and I can't wait.

Something I think I need to work on is focusing a bit more because I did get kind of distracted and things like that so I think maybe my next steps will be to moving when I think I am getting to distracted so I can finish everything off and get all the work completed, I did complete the work but I do wish I started drawing and cutting everything out today. My next steps are going to be moving when I get distracted and focusing more because I do think if I did do these today that I would of started everything today but unfortunately I didn't but I will be surely doing these steps next week Thursday.

Technology Reflection

Yesterday we started a new technology rotation where we have to go to a different rotation aka class for technology the last group I was in for technology was graphics and now I have swapped to hard materials where we will be making a type of necklace made from a tin like metal called pewter and we will be using silhouette designs to create our necklace designs.

Do I like this new rotation?

I do enjoy being in different classes trying new things and at the moment I am enjoying this class very much because I dont think I will ever make a necklace ever again because when he was explaining how to do it, it sounded really hard and confusing and then he explained it again so we called get a better understanding. He also showed us some of the process of doing these things like mounting the tin and cutting the shape out of your design.

Did I find anything challenging?

I didn't find anything challenging because it was the first day and he was just introducing what we were doing and what the rules were when your in his class because he doesn't want any of us to get hurt because there are a lot of dangerous tools in there and hot tools as well like electric wood,tin and metal cutters and a hot tin and metal mounter.

Technology Reflection

Today was our normal Thursday because as usual we have gone to Technology at Tamaki College, this week for technology we were drawing 7 circle patterns and as you can see down the bottom there that is a 7 circle pattern/drawing.

This week was fun because I got to try something new because I have never done a 7 circle pattern/drawing but unfortunately mine was not coming out as good and I have not completely finished so I will show some images down below. Using this 7 circle pattern/drawing can give you many different designs such as a star, cubes and a circular flower pattern/drawing.

Something I found challenging about this lesson is I think using the compass to draw seven even circles to me that personally was the hardest thing about this lesson and I think that was the only thing I found challenging today because I don't use compasses I just draw uneven circles and thing like that.

My favourite part about today was probably trying to use the compass even though it made me a bit angry at points because it kept moving and not coming out looking like a circle I still tried and things like that, another thing I think I really enjoyed about today was seeing my friends try it because they thought it was hard but I liked how they tried their best.

Technology Reflection -

Today for Technology we were finalising our phone stand designs I think my phone stand came out very very good because I had been working on it all last term and all this term as well, I think my next goal is to finish the 3D printing and everything like that so I can take it back with me to show everyone, we also didn't have our original teacher for graphics because she was not here so we had a lovey teacher named Ms Smallwood.  

Another thing we did today was make a presentation and I will be inserting this after this reflection and everything, I thought that this task was really fun because I got to finish my design and write about it and very. Another thing I really enjoyed today was sitting next to new people and I got to know some things I didn't know about them.

The thing I enjoyed the most with this weeks Technology is that I finally got to finish my design and I am really proud because it took so long and things like that and I can't wait to see what it looks like after all the designing i'v done and I also can't wait to take it home, can't wait to take my design home!

Technology Reflection

Today at Technology we got to learn things like Ellipse, Graduated Shading (Slowly), Cylinder and cone. Today was really fun because I got to learn so much from this lesson and things like that another reason why I really enjoyed this is because of how much I learnt from it, here are a few things that we learnt the first thing was Ellipse and this is when you get a square shape and draw centerlines, the next part is when you draw an oval shape in the middle. 

Another thing we learnt was Graduated shading where you started you shading dark and slowly started to make it light or when you make it dark light dark.

Something that im going to be taking away from this lesson of technology is that I can do things and things like that I will insert photos of our work and things like that down below.

Technology Reflection Lesson 3 - Sketch Models

Today at Technology we learnt many things how to use Plasticine and how to do things like sketch models, size, slope, support, and shape base which were all very important to make this phone stand.

I thought that this was very fun to do the creating before the actual drawing and I also really like it because I really got to think of what I wanted and I just really loved doing this and also because I liked playing with the plasticine and with all the tools we got to use as well.

Something I did well today was I think listening and trying my hardest even though it was fun to do the creating before the drawing but it was also really hard and I think I did pretty well with this and as I said trying my best because I have never really handled this type of clay/material before but I did really try my best and things like that.

Something I think I need to work on is to finish things faster so I can have more then one design and maybe next time have a better idea because I just rolled it and make a line in it and things like that and I think another thing I need to work on is to finish my blogging faster and technology that way I don't have to worry about it later on and things like that.

Technology Lesson 2

Comparing 2 different phone stand and phone cases so we can find out what type or kind we would like, Theses phone cases will be made out of ABS plastic and we will also be using a 3D printer if we would like to, I enjoyed this because it was educational and very fun at the same time because I got to form an idea of what I want my project, item or phone stand to look like.

In this lesson I learnt how to compare to objects that were the same but made with different materials and things like that and I also got to find out what type of phone stands my friends and peers liked and what they thought of mine, I also learnt what ABS is and it is a type of plastic and I also learnt that it is easy comparing to different materials because as you see at the top there's a wood phone stand and a metal phone stand, read the top drawing/comparison to read and see what I have done at technology.

Mary Jane - Graphics Lesson 1

Today the year 7 and 8's went to technology for the first time this year, it is very new to the new year 7 and I think they really enjoyed it and I enjoyed it myself as well one thing I have to say is that this is. Today we did a google drawing about ourselves and the things we enjoyed/liked .

We learned about how to make our backgrounds transparent and things like that by writing in png and another thing we learnt today was how to make collages obviously its not very hard by it was very fun to do because  I got to see what my friends were doing and they get to see what I like and things like. 

As you can see in the drawing we got to make an avatar if we didn't want to take a photo of ourselves and there is mine right there its not the best but I tried my best to make it look the same. 

And in the next section we will be learning how to make a phone stand.

Mary Jane - Technology Hard Materols

Today in technology today we learned how to make pictures and iteams into straight things like for an Ice cream the top part of the ice cream will have to be done with straight lines and we also learnt how to cut glass and for me it was fine but I wasnt the best at in to be very honset but I still thought it was really fun, Another thing I really enjoyed was when my friends tried to help me with Ideas because they didnt know but I thought that it was funny and cool at the same time and I cant wait for the next one but unfortunalty I didnt get any photos but I will next time, Hope you enjoy my blog post and blog.

Mary Jane - Food Technology

Today in food tech we learned how to make a pasta salad and here are the ingredients and the method we learned,

Ingredients - 

Pasta / We used macorone pasta 

Tamato 

Onioun 

Mayo 

Ham / Bacon 

Method - 

The first thing you want to do is take your pasta out of the bag and put around 3 cups of water into a pot, after adding your 3 cups of water you want to place your pot on the top of the stove. Again after finishing that you can place your pasta into the pot, wait for the pasta and water to start boiling and make sure you stir it so it doesnt get stuck to the pot and if you dont know how to cook pasta than get a fork or spoon get the pasta out and run under cold water, after you have done that touch it and see if its soft if it is its finished.

After doing that you want to cut your other ingredients into small pieces and than add your pasta to those ingredients 

Mary Jane - Food tech Leason

Today at Technology we made a delicious small mini quiche,

Ingrediants -

Egg

Ham / Bacon

Milk

Pastery 

Cheese 

Non Stick spray.

Method -

First you want to get 2 eggs and 1 cup of milk when you have finsihed grabbing these you need to whisk the two together until mixed well after you have finished whisking you egg and milk you want to add your ham or bacan, Make sure they are chopped into small pieces when you have also finished cutting your ham or bacon you want to add that to you egg and milk mixture if you havent noticed we are doing the wet things first.

Once you have completed this you are going to cut your pastery into small circles and if you do not have enough than with the left over dough you can cut it into as much more as you need and than roll it out. 

When you have finished cutting your dough place it into your muffin tray or and circled tray you have if you and make sure you like it with something that makes it not stick and if you want you can make a big one, With your egg mixture you want to poor it into a cup make sure none of the ham or bacon gets into it because you want to add that mixture last.

When you are done than you can add your ham and chese ohh and wait dont put it into the oven yet add your egg and milk mixture and than put it into the oven at 180 and than wait until it get nice and brown but not too brown, When its finished dig in and eat it.

I loved making this because it was fun and very cool to make and I also think I did this really good but one thing I do need to work on is finding the equipments becauses I always have to go searching for it I also think I did it good because I tried and tried and it worked but again I do need to work on a few things like finding things and watching things because sometimes my groups stuff burns because I dont check on it all the time but it is getting better because I am watching it more and I am also working on that because I dont want to get in trouble or make my group made by burning it but like I said it is getting a lot better and I enjoy the challenge of making things.

Food Tech Leason 3 - Mary Jane

Ingrediants - 

Potato 

Egg

Carrots 

Chicken

Sauce / That you like

Mayo / Salad dressing

Method -

Peel and cut your potatos in half and again if they are big, than cut them into bite size pieces,

After cutting all the potatos but them into the pot but dont forget about your egg place the egg in the pot with your potatos and dont forget to put water in with the egg / eggs and potato make sure the water goes over your potato,

Next you want to peel and grate the carrot and add it into a big bowl,

After grateing all you carrots go onto the chicken,

Cut your chicken into small bite sizes, after that you want to rub it with you fav sause and than put them on you kabab stick,

Make sure you stove and oven are on high, for the chicken bake it on high and wait for it to go golden adn for your potatos do the same thing but on the stove wait till your egg in rock hard and than keep your potatos in the boiling water until they are nice and soft.

Today at Tamaki primary the year 7's and 8's went to Technology again, It was really fun because I am in the cooking group it is fun to be in the cooking group because we get to make and eat food and today I was so happy to hear about what we where going to make.

Today we made Patato salad with chicken kabab wrapped in teriaky sause I thought that it was going to be really hard to make this but it was amazingly simple to do, When I started I was so pleased that it was easy because I didnt want to get in trouble if I made it wrong.

Once we started do everthing I got into the hand of it because it was really fun, My Job was to peel and grate the carrots it was fun, after we had finished everything we made it look pretty and nice and than dug in to all the yum flavors it had and thank you to Mrs Tuipulotu.

Mary Jane - New Tech leason / Food tech

Today at tamaki primary the year 7's and 8's went to something called tech also known as technology where we have to do fun things like cook, building and graphics the last group I was in was graphics and we learnt how to plan and design jewellery but now I am in cooking and we made a yum as ice cream milk shake and I would like to give thanks to my new teacher Miss Tuipolotu for teaching us how to make this and also because she is going to be teaching us for a long time so thank you Miss Tuipolotu.

Mary Jane Technology - Last leason

Today the year 7 and 8's of Tamaki Primary have finished there first leason of techonology, I have learned a lot from the leasons thank you to the amazing techer Miss Ferguson for teaching and helping me with my work and also just teaching the class how to do amazing stuff like 3D drawing and other cool things,

Mary Jane TinkerCard - Graphcis leason 5 - Technology

Today at Tamaki primary school the year 7 and 8s went to technology, 

I am in graphics and we are learning how to use a new site named TinkerCard this is very fun because we learn how to make 3D shapes. 

I learned more and did more with this site because it was instresting and it taught us how to do different things with the site and if you dont know what to do it gives you different leasons to help you with it teachs you how to shape and things like that, My teacher for graphics Miss Fergason helped us learn more with TinkerCard like how to group things/lining them together and how to make them tranceperant which was fun because I learned more about this site and it could be handy for other things.

We also leanred a lot today and with the site you really had to listen because some of the timgs where tricky to do and I also liked this because we got to help each other when other people got stuck and didnt know what to do which was fun.
