Wood Works (Finger joint)

Throughout the first term in wood works we have been learning how to make a basic finger joint.

Description - 
What are finger joints? 
A Finger Joint also known as a Comb Joint is a complementary joint to improve the qualities of one or another piece of a joint. A Finger Joint is joined up with a similar but different piece off wood, similar cuts just in opposite sides, places or areas.

Materials -
Wood blocks..All the same size
Tenon Saw
Pencil
Chisel
Ruler 
Possibly a rubber

Steps to making a Finger joint -

Step 1 -
Mark and measure the finger joints.

Step 2 -
Cut and Chisel the finger joint. 


Step 3 -
Glue the box together
