Mary Jane - The 7 stars of Matariki T2W9

Today room 10 did another Matariki goal setting but it was much more different because it involed the different Matariki stars if you dont know the stars you will find out in this slide and it will also show how I will embody this goal and this star, I thought that this task was really fun because you can change your goals and it doesnt really about learninh and it can really mean about what you want to work on.
When I first saw this task I thought that this is a normal goal setting but again I was surprised to see how much different it was to a normal goal setting slide because your goals could be related to almost anything which is amazing for me, When my friend saw this she thought the same so we talked about kind of what we would do with this slide and we found a way to make it work we made sure that it was involed with school and outside of school.
Hope you enjoy my slide show and also my blog post.

Mary Jane - Matariki Celebrations T2W8

Yesterday room 10 did a slide about the different things you can do for Matariki and the different things tamaki primary and my class can celebrate Matariki,
I thought that this task was fun because we got to find the task and the teacher gave us a site to see the different things that we could go to and that we could go to as a school or even just with your family which is really cool and the amazing thing about the site is that it tells you the cost where it is and when it is which most sites dont do if you want to learn more about the things you can do at Matariki than have a look in the slides and if you want the link it will be down at the body of the post.
Hope you enjoy my blog post!!

Mary Jane - Taku rakau whainga / My goal setting tree T2W8

Yesterday my class room 10 started on a slide where we have to set goals for after the maori new year,
I thought that this was a fun task because we got to learn more about the different goals that we actually wanted to do I didnt relize that the slide would be like this I thought it was the normal goal setting slide but it wasnt it was a lot more funner and a lot more personal for the students and I think that this is a lot better than the old ones.
If you want to see my personal goals then have look and if you also want to see my school goals then flick through the slides to see what they are and there is a slide asking about the year and if you want to see what happened then have a look at the slide.
I hope you enjoyed my blog post!!

Mary Jane - Food Technology

Today in food tech we learned how to make a pasta salad and here are the ingredients and the method we learned,
Ingredients -
Pasta / We used macorone pasta
Tamato
Onioun
Mayo
Ham / Bacon

Method -
The first thing you want to do is take your pasta out of the bag and put around 3 cups of water into a pot, after adding your 3 cups of water you want to place your pot on the top of the stove. Again after finishing that you can place your pasta into the pot, wait for the pasta and water to start boiling and make sure you stir it so it doesnt get stuck to the pot and if you dont know how to cook pasta than get a fork or spoon get the pasta out and run under cold water, after you have done that touch it and see if its soft if it is its finished.
After doing that you want to cut your other ingredients into small pieces and than add your pasta to those ingredients

Matariki stars for maths - Mary Jane

Today room10 my class got to do some maths about matariki we got taught the shape of matarki and how if never changes the only thing is that it rotates this is my photos of a hook showing even if it is rotated it still is the same thing,
The first one which is the left one if a 360 degree angle of the matariki and the second one is a 90 degree angle but if you didnt know the thrid is 180 degrees and the last one is 270 and than it goes back to 360 degrees again,
I learnt a lot about matariki and degrees not only that I also learnt that they dont flip and they only rotate.
Hope you enjoy my small little blog post!!

Mary Jane - Ko Te Whakatauki o te wiki - T2W8

Today in room 10 we did a really fun task called Whakatauki o te wiki which is a task we do every week I think that this is a really good task to practice your Te reo maori and to get other peoples view on things or on this quote, I also want to say that if you are new at speaking a new launge or in the process of learning a new launge this would be a great task because again you see your classes or your friends point of view on things.
Room 10 my class does this every week and this helps with our Te reo maori and other launges to so if you are learning a new launge this task will be great if you dont get this task it means a qoute in a different launage and you can excpress yourself and others with this task which is amazing.
Hope you enjoy my blog post.

Mary Jane - Food tech Leason

Image result for mini quiche
Today at Technology we made a delicious small mini quiche,
Ingrediants -
Egg
Ham / Bacon
Milk
Pastery
Cheese
Non Stick spray.

Method -
First you want to get 2 eggs and 1 cup of milk when you have finsihed grabbing these you need to whisk the two together until mixed well after you have finished whisking you egg and milk you want to add your ham or bacan, Make sure they are chopped into small pieces when you have also finished cutting your ham or bacon you want to add that to you egg and milk mixture if you havent noticed we are doing the wet things first.
Once you have completed this you are going to cut your pastery into small circles and if you do not have enough than with the left over dough you can cut it into as much more as you need and than roll it out.
When you have finished cutting your dough place it into your muffin tray or and circled tray you have if you and make sure you like it with something that makes it not stick and if you want you can make a big one, With your egg mixture you want to poor it into a cup make sure none of the ham or bacon gets into it because you want to add that mixture last.
When you are done than you can add your ham and chese ohh and wait dont put it into the oven yet add your egg and milk mixture and than put it into the oven at 180 and than wait until it get nice and brown but not too brown, When its finished dig in and eat it.

I loved making this because it was fun and very cool to make and I also think I did this really good but one thing I do need to work on is finding the equipments becauses I always have to go searching for it I also think I did it good because I tried and tried and it worked but again I do need to work on a few things like finding things and watching things because sometimes my groups stuff burns because I dont check on it all the time but it is getting better because I am watching it more and I am also working on that because I dont want to get in trouble or make my group made by burning it but like I said it is getting a lot better and I enjoy the challenge of making things.
Hope you enjoy blog post.

Sugar songs - Huriata, Ricky, Lovey, Mary Jane, Lizzy and Pairs.

Today in room 10 we showed the whole class what we did, Our group was working on a play but we hadn't made the puppets yet so we just went with it we also made sure that we tried to add all of the different sugars but we didnt because we didnt have enough time, I didnt really like it because I dont like talking to a lot of people so I was scared and angry but I was happy that we got some of it done and also that I got to do it with my best friend Lizzy.

I think this was kind of a good task but some of us didnt make it really detailed but they were really good anyway and I will give that to them I also liked it because I got to see what others in my class learnt about sugar and also how they thought sugar would affect there lives, I dont really think this helps me with my learning because I am shy.
Hope you enjoy the video and my blog post!!

When I opened my book I say the pictures and instanlly knew that this wasnt going to be as hard as I thought it would be because of the pictures and yes its sounds very silly but pictures can really help your brain adjust to things and my sure did, Anyway this book is about ants and how they trie and find there food and in this slide it will show some of the new words I learnt and there definition with photos to,
I Hope you enjoy my slide show.
